CareersinRecruitment RELAUNCH
Interactive and Recruitment
Training Ltd (IRT) announce their recent acquisition of the UK’s
premier recruitment industry job board, CareersinRecruitment.
CareersinRecruitment was
facing liquidation back in June 2002, until Tim Dawson and John
Ellis, co-directors of IRT stepped in and saved the recruitment
job board from further demise. The acquisition further expands IRT’s
portfolio of niche sites that includes aviationjobsearch.com and
traveljobsearch.com.
CareersinRecruitment.com
was launched in 1999 and acts on behalf of recruitment agencies
throughout the UK. It was the first of its’ kind, allowing
recruitment consultants and senior managers the opportunity to control
their career more easily, by enabling them to post their CV and
search for that lucrative recruitment job via a job site specifically
catering for them.
The CareersinRecruitment
site will be formally re-launched on September 18th whereby for
the first month, the service is totally FREE to recruitment clients.

FALL IN INTERNET RECRUITMENT
ADVERTISING
The volume of vacancies advertised
on Britain’s leading recruitment websites has slumped by almost
half in the last year, according to the online industry portal AlljobsUK.com.
In the last 12 months to Monday 12 August 2002, the number of jobs
has plummeted by over 200,000 from 533,291 to 330,333. This includes
19,000 vacancies with Stepstone which closed this year. The 6 top
websites, Gojobsite, Jobserve, Monster, Planetrecruit, Quantum and
Totaljobs have seen an average drop of almost 50% on this time last
year. Not only does this reflect the much lower volume of vacancies
available, but it impacts directly on sales revenues for these job
advertisers. Much will be blamed on business confidence and share
value depreciation since September 11, but it should be noted that
JobTrack has seen a 6% increase in the same period. Source: www.AlljobsUK.com
